Can Claude read all of my files?

Only while you have an unlocked connector session active. Click "Unlock for Claude" to start a time-boxed session, and Claude can read and work with your content for as long as it stays open. End the session and access stops — there's no separate per-file setting to configure.

Can Claude fire, pause, or disable my deadman switch?

No. Claude can list your switches and propose a configuration, but it cannot check you in, trigger a switch, pause it, or delete it. Those actions require you, in the Killswitch app.

What can I ask Claude to do in Killswitch?

Connecting Claude to Killswitch

Add the connector. In Claude Desktop or claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste your Killswitch connector URL (found in Settings → Connector Sessions).
Approve the connection. Claude opens your browser to sign in and approve the specific scopes it's requesting (notes, documents, switches, or beneficiaries).
Unlock for Claude when you want AI help. Click "Unlock for Claude" in Settings to start a time-boxed session so Claude can read and author your content. End the session anytime to revoke access.
