There is a grace period you can set to give you extra time to check-in. If one does trigger and you didn't want it to, you have full control of the share links and can revoke them immediately.
Files without any shares or deadman switches are fully zero-knowledge — we cannot access them. When you add a file to a deadman switch or create a share link, a unique encryption key is generated for that specific share and encrypted with our server-side vault so we can deliver it to your beneficiary. Each share has its own key, so you can revoke any one at any time without affecting others. All share access is logged with IP and location for full transparency.
